Amazons is a mixed media exhibition that takes a collective look at Amazonian culture and highlights indigenous voices through art, thinking, science and activism. Proposing other ways of living, growing and relating to nature.

Amazons. The Ancestral Future is a sensory journey through the immensity of rivers and forests, through the sounds, smells, cities, rituals, people and life stories of Amazonian communities. 3. Art in Stone – La Pedrera, Casa Milá

What is it?

This exhibition brings together some of the most important international sculptors from the modern age, born between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th: Hans Arp, Louise Bourgeois, Eduardo Chillida, Naum Gabo, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Isamu Noguchi and Jorge Oteiza. The setting of the exhibition within Gaudí’s masterpiece, La Pedrera (Stone Quarry in Catalan), makes it to be truly unique and inspirational.

4. Francesc Domingo, from Sant Just to San Paulo – Fundació Vila Casas

What is it?

A retrospective show on the Catalan artist Francesc Domingo i Segura. Educated in a working-class school, and gifted at drawing, he was a member of the Catalan School of Paris, and his art is inspired by his admiration for Picasso and an intimate assimilation of Catalan Romanesque Art, in a spiritual plasticism, which places him in the triad of the Catalan avant-garde: Miró-Dalí-Domingo
